Catherine is a Yoga Alliance registered yoga instructor. She trained RYT 200at Kawai Purapura, a yoga school registered with the Yoga Alliance. She is currently working towards her 500 hours (Advanced Teacher Training), which she plans to complete in 2021.

When she is not practising yoga, Dr Catherine Knight works as a policy and communications consultant for KHM Consulting. She is also an internationally recognised environmental historian and award-winning author. Her books include Nature and Wellbeing in Aotearoa New Zealand (Totara Press), Wildbore: A photographic legacy (Totara Press), Ravaged Beauty: An environmental history of the Manawatu (Totara Press) and New Zealand’s Rivers: An environmental history (Canterbury University Press).
