Catherine has completed both her 200 hour teacher training and 300 hour advanced teacher training, making her a RYS qualified 500 hour yoga teacher. She completed her initial training at Kawai Purapura, a Yoga Alliance registered yoga school in Auckland. She has recently completed her advanced teacher training with the NZ Yoga Collective, Wellington.
When she is not practising yoga, Dr Catherine Knight works as a policy and communications consultant for KHM Consulting. She is also an internationally recognised environmental historian and award-winning author. Her books include Nature and Wellbeing in Aotearoa New Zealand (Totara Press), Wildbore: A photographic legacy (Totara Press), Ravaged Beauty: An environmental history of the Manawatu (Totara Press) and New Zealand’s Rivers: An environmental history (Canterbury University Press).
